Soft opening in Prestige mode

2015. 04. 03.

„enjoy the classic elegance”

When hotel owner Mazen Al Ramahi said, that a new hotel is to be opened in the beginning of the month in Budapest, it was not an April Fool’s Day joke. The new Prestige Hotel Budapest designhotel in Vigyázó Ferenc street was indeed finished on April 2 and welcomed its first guests.

The finishing touches had been put just a few days before the opening, but the first visitors did not notice anything of this. The beautiful building, combining the traditional values with modern accessories, most exclusive materials and furniture is now operating in all its glory.

„The moment I walked in the building took my breath away! This hotel is gorgeous! Even the lobby is so impressive, that it is almost touching to stay in this beautiful city in such a luxurious hotel. I fell like a princess from the early 1900s!” – enthusiastically told us a woman from Denmark visiting the Hungarian capital with her husband.

Our guest has well sensed the essence of our concept and it means that the designers and constructors also did a great job! The idea indeed was to keep the classic character of the building by preserving the upper-class elegancy from the most beautiful time of the Monarchy. The unique specificity of this building is that as the original building structure is preserved up to the sixth floor, the guests can wonder at the central atrium with wonderful wrought iron railings, imposing internal space with its glass roof letting natural light flood in from above and the exclusive IPE Cavalli wall lights and furniture in the lobby.

The Prestige Hotel Budapest was planned and has been constructed by the same team of experts, who were working on the already existing hotels: Boutique Hotel in Só street and Continental Hotel Budapest in Dohány street. The internal design is the result of excellent work of Virág Vörös, Csilla Sáfrány and Tünde Bagyinszkiné Kiss.

The 85 rooms of the hotel is a great combination of modernity, classic old-fashioned elegance and latest technological achievements. The internal spaces in every room are dominated by premium quality Harlequin Leonida Velvet fabrics giving pure delight for the eyes.

The old-fashioned milieu of the concept is also reflected in the staff’s clothes as well. The pure, upper-class style of József Hild, the architect of the original building of Prestige Hotel, the huge interior spaces, the luxurious black and white interior also were strong requirements for a unique uniform to be designed. The uniform collection, created by designers Adrienn Szaszkó and Mariann Szaszkó, combining the upper-class style and the modern fashion trends, is characterized by pure style. The uniforms of the different hotel departments harmoniously fit together, but separately also make strong characteristic appearance. Everything is worked out in the finest details; the style can be noticed on every piece of the collection. The colors are also based on the black and white dominance, which determines the interiors of the hotel. The marble surfaces, the airy internal space provides excellent background for the use of premium materials, and this characterizes the choice of materials for the whole collection.

Furthermore, the perfection without compromises shall not stop within the hotel walls, the guests of Prestige hotel can enjoy the best breakfast in Budapest in the Costes Downtown, which is situated on the lower level of the building. The restaurant, which is the new member of Costes brand from Ráday street (bringing Michelin star for Károly Gerendai and Miguel Rocha Vieira), for a few weeks will serve only for hotel guests, but afterwards will be available also for everybody who is keen on highest level gastronomy. Superior and highest standard gastronomy continues to be Vieira’s task in both restaurants, but owners imagine running the new location at much more relaxed atmosphere. Costes Downtown with 60 seats, also features a show kitchen, and a chef’s table.

The huge interest in the new hotel is not least the result of the outstanding professional preparatory work made by Zoltán Géher, the director of the Continental Hotel Budapest in order to implement and develop the project. Miklós Gaál, the newly appointed director and his team from the first moment must execute their work continuing this direction providing highest level services. The commitment to quality and professionalism of the hotel manager with 30 years of experience, and the impetus of his young but professionally trained team are to be the guarantee for further success.

The occupancy forecasts for Prestige Hotel Budapest are also showing positive future for the hotel. „The aim of the coming period is to refine the hotel’s operation in order to give our guests a discreet and perfect elegant service which is hidden in the hotel’s appearance and capabilities” – summarized the mission the manager of the hotel. “The introduction of the Prestige Hotel in the domestic and also foreign markets requires constant control, but I am sure that we will be successful with my committed and professional team and with the support of the excellent professionals working in our group. With all this we also hope to contribute in making Budapest even more attractive on the touristic market.”
